The room was awesome - spacious and cozy, and had a fantastic jacuzzi in the bathroom 🛁. the staff here were super nice and really made us feel comfortable, and you can't beat the amazing location for sure.

A great place to relax or explore and enjoy the forest, close enough to the chateau in the city and surrounding interesting sites. High quality cuisine and superb wine list. A village of interest.

The rooms are comfy and incredible, equipped with an iron with ironing board, coffee and tea making equipment, and multi-channel TV...

The staff was exceptional and nice, and the hotel is conveniently located just off the forest of Fontainebleau and in the center of the beautiful village nearby.

Decor Pool and surroundings Breakfast

We had two special dinners and they were absolutely delicious. The staff is wonderful and the surroundings so very beautiful.

The staff here are outstanding and always willing to help the guests, plus the superior rooms provide all the essential amenities you would require.

Barbizon is a lovely and special town and so close to Paris 35 mins by train or 45 by car, for such a quant small town it has a good number of hotels and restaurants.

As to the Bas-Breau it is a fine hotel with great staff but I am sorry to say it is spoiled by the owners who seem to think they are more special than the guests, that spoiled it for us on our second visit. At hotels we do not need to see or know the owners unless we have a serious problem but if the owners want to parade themselves they aught to be polite and not assume superior attitude, we were simplt ugnored on a number of encounters. On a more practical note the beds are dreadfull both in comfort and in the overlays, we had trouble sleeping as a couple. There other good hotels and great restaurants which we tried and enjoyed so we recommend Barbizon to visit.

Spacious and luxurious rooms with a fantastic jacuzzi in the bathroom, and exceptionally friendly staff.

This old-fashioned hotel offers variety of well furnished and luxury rooms. The service is courteous, includes secure parking. Besides, guests can park cars on site. The location is great and the staff is really good. The place to have lunch at a moderate distance from the property is Auberge des Alouettes.

We were delighted on arrival by the location, the ambiance and the friendliness of all the staff. Our room was beautiful and the bath room very well appointed. The attention to detail was a delight. The hotel is in a wondrfully calm setting and a joy to be in. It was good to stay where service was so attentive when required and where the used linen was replaced without making the guest feel eco unfriendly!

We enjoyed our meal in the dining room and the quality of the food was good, however we did feel that it was over priced compared to otherl local restuarants where not only was the food good but the atmosphere was better.

Vieux-jeu overpriced run down, badly in need of an overhaul and renovation poor bed quality - old blankets leaking coffee machine in room minibar prices exorbitant not any more what it used to be breakfast only from 730am and even at 730 it was not ready, at 25Eur ! no newspapers general state of neglect and run-down internet to be paid, in a four star hotel with these prices!
